Yangon Municipal Flood Control Intercepting Drainage and Auxiliary Facilities PS2&PS3 Project Construction General Contracting Contract

Recently, China State Construction and the Myanmar Yangon Urban Development Commission signed a general contract for the construction of the PS2&PS3 project of Yangon municipal flood control and drainage and auxiliary facilities. The contract amount is about 43.44 million U.S. dollars. The loan fund is provided by the World Bank.

The project content mainly includes the construction of about 6.3 kilometers of underground large-scale prefabricated interception/drainage structures and auxiliary facilities in the central city.

This project is China State Construction's first public construction project in Myanmar, achieving a breakthrough for the company in the new country market. China Construction Myanmar Branch has overcome many adverse effects of the new crown epidemic, carefully organized and planned, and stood out in the fierce international bidding. This project is the first World Bank funded project signed by China Construction in Southeast Asia in recent years. The signing of the project has consolidated China Construction’s market position in Myanmar and laid a solid foundation for continued expansion of the Myanmar market.

Swakopmund DCI pipeline project

A few days ago, China State Construction Nano Branch won the bid for the Swakopmund DCI pipeline project with an amount of 232 million Na dollars. The construction was funded by the Namibian Water Authority and the construction period was 12 months.

The project is located in the Erongo region of Namibia. The main construction content is the laying of surface cast iron pipelines and the installation and commissioning of auxiliary facilities. The project pipeline starts at Schwarzekuppe and ends at Swakopmund, with a total length of 23.3 kilometers.

This project is another large-scale infrastructure project signed by the company and the Namibian Water Authority. Editor/Sang Xiaomei
