On January 26, 2021, the Hungary China-Europe Business and Logistics Cooperation Park signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Henan Air Cargo Development Co., Ltd. According to the agreement, Henan Airport Group will build an overseas cargo terminal in Budapest to jointly promote the implementation of an air cargo hub project in Hungary.
Wu Jiang, CEO of Hungary's Sino-European Trade and Logistics Cooperation Park, said, “Through our respective regions, routes and sources of resources, we have built an'Air Silk Road' that connects China and Hungary. The multimodal transport project forms a convenient international logistics network to promote the high-quality development of air cargo business."
Attending the signing ceremony, State Secretary of the Ministry of Innovation and Science and Technology, Mosochi Laszlo, stated that we are willing to further leverage Hungary’s geographical advantage in central Europe to promote trade, e-commerce, and aviation logistics between China and Hungary and Central and Eastern Europe. , Customs data interconnection and other aspects of cooperation, comprehensively improve the level of logistics and international service trade. The Ministry of Innovation and Science and Technology will vigorously support Hungarian companies and Chinese companies to carry out pragmatic and innovative cooperation to achieve a win-win situation.
Liu Bo, Minister of Economics and Commercial Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Hungary, said that he hopes that the signing of the agreement can realize the collection and distribution of Zhengzhou and Budapest cross-border trade goods between China and Europe, and further promote the construction of China-Hungary aviation logistics information platform and realize cargo data information. Connectivity, work together to create a new growth pole for freight development, and contribute to a stable foreign trade base and a new domestic and international dual-cycle development pattern."
Kang Shengzhen, chairman of Henan Airport Group, said that this signing will build a new "air silk road" between China and Hungary and become a bridge and tie for economic and trade cooperation between the two countries. The group will establish an overseas cargo terminal in Budapest to promote the landing of regular flights from Zhengzhou to Budapest. After the establishment of the overseas cargo station, the "overseas cargo station information service platform" will also be used to realize the data interconnection and intercommunication between Zhengzhou Airport and Budapest Airport cargo station.
