Li Ganjie, governor of Shandong Province, delivered a government work report to the conference. It is mentioned in the government work report that in 2021, Shandong will focus its efforts on the construction of major strategic platforms to achieve practical results.

Greater efforts will be made to implement ecological protection and high-quality development plans for the Yellow River Basin

Nine special plans for ecology, water conservancy, and culture were formulated and promulgated. Accelerate the construction of the Yellow River Mouth National Park, start construction of 390 major projects such as the Yellow River Delta and Dongping Lake ecological protection and restoration, implement national water-saving actions, and create ecological corridors in the lower reaches of the Yellow River, science and technology innovation corridors and modern industrial cooperation belts. Fully promote the implementation of Jinan's new and old kinetic energy conversion starting area, and build a modern agricultural technology innovation center in the Yellow River Delta.

More practical measures to develop the marine economy

Formulate and implement a new round of action plans for the construction of a powerful marine province, introduce a development plan for the offshore equipment industry, accelerate the development of marine biomedicine, smart marine and other industries, and start the construction of 10 major supporting projects for the modern marine industry. Promote the application of Shenyuanhai smart cage equipment, and create a new batch of national marine ranch demonstration areas.

Improve the level of open platform to a higher level

Deepen the reform and innovation of the free trade pilot zone, build the Shandong international bulk commodity trading market, and build a comprehensive commodity trading platform for spot commodities. Promote the construction of the Shanghai Cooperation Demonstration Zone and hold the Shanghai Cooperation Organization International Investment and Trade Expo.
