According to US media reports, on May 16, 2019, a well-known American Chinese architect, Pei Ming, died at a hospital in Manhattan, New York, at the age of 102.

As a pioneer in the Chinese architectural world, Pei Ming has established a history of wisdom and wisdom, an optimistic attitude towards life, excellent architectural design skills, and a modern architectural concept that spans the East and West cultures and lasts for more than half a century. The Bank of China Headquarters Building is the office building of the Bank of China. The building was started in 1996 and completed in 2001. It is located at the northwest corner of the intersection of Fuxingmennei Street and Xidan North Street, bordering on Minfeng Hutong in the north and Baimiao Hutong in the west. Established by Beijing Zhongyin Building Co., Ltd., the United States Bayes Architects, Weidelinger Engineers, China Academy of Building Research Institute of Integrated Design is responsible for the design, China Construction General Contracting Construction. The building covers an area of 13,195 square meters and the total construction area is about 174,869 square meters. The southeast part is 12 stories high and 45 meters high; the northwest part is 15 stories and the height is 47.5 meters.

Ming Xuan is located in the north wing of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, USA. It is the pioneering work of Chinese gardens going overseas. The park was designed by Professor Chen Congzhou from Tongji University and built by Chinese and foreign garden companies under China Construction.

In the autumn of 1977, the design of the Ming Dynasty classical garden “Mingxuan” was praised by Mr. Pei Ming and many architectural experts. The plan passed the trial. After five months of construction, Mingxuan officially opened to the public on June 18, 1980. The completion of Mingxuan caused a sensation in the United States. Former US President Nixon and former Secretary of State Dr. Kissinger and other officials visited the exhibition several times. The people coming to visit all over the United States are even more endless.

In June 1998, the garden “Jingxing Garden”, which was funded by the New York United Foundation, began construction. The Chinese and foreign garden companies led 40 Chinese craftsmen and 40 containers from Suzhou, China to New York, USA. The construction of Xingyuan once again caused a sensation in the Chinese community in New York. For Pei Ming, who grew up in Suzhou, this undoubtedly made him feel a lot. Beijia owns the Suzhou Lion Forest for a hundred years. He has been playing and living in his home since he was a child. The construction of the Xingyuan Park is based on Suzhou's famous Lingering Garden and Lion Forest.

Pei Ming was very interested in a landscape when he was investigating the progress of the construction of the Xingxing Park. The landscape was named “Songhe Yannian” and was paved with cobblestones. Pei Ming looked at this Songhe Yannian, he seems to return to the lion forest where he lived, watching the craftsmen from Suzhou, he mixed feelings.
