On the spring day, Wuhan Hanjiang River is green, like jasper, driving to the vicinity of Hanjiang Bay in Gutian, you can see a majestic steel arch bridge standing majestically. The gray bridge body exudes a dazzling metallic luster in the sun, calm and sci-fi. This "steel skeleton" behemoth is the Han River Bay Bridge, which was built by China Railway Bridge Bureau. It is currently the widest bridge on the Han River and the seventh bridge across the Han River in Wuhan. At the end of November last year, it officially closed. At present, the builders are doing the final finishing work, and strive to have the conditions for opening to traffic in April this year.

Today, we will record the sprint moment of the Han River Bay Bridge.

At present, the construction of the Han River Bay Bridge has entered the final stage, including the construction of the bridgehead, the installation of auxiliary works, and the dismantling of various construction equipment. The two arch-beam erection cranes are the main force of the finishing work. Looking at the picture, it is the orange-red bridge-building artifact "lying on" the arch.

They are the latest heavy-duty and large-angle climbing equipment developed by China Railway Bridge Bureau, which can lift up to 100 tons of arch rib truss members on slopes with a maximum slope of nearly 30 degrees. The erection of the steel arch of the bridge relies on it. When erecting the steel arches of the Hanjiang Bay Bridge, they started from both sides of Hanyang and Hankou, and "crawled" towards the center of the bridge little by little, and finally closed the arches. After closing the dragon, they have to go the other way, starting from the middle and "retreating" to both sides respectively. In the process of retreat, the crane has to complete two tasks: one is to dismantle the construction platform and equipment, and the other is to install the overhaul channel on the arch. At present, the crane is traveling at the speed of retreating 2 sections in 3 days. After retreating, it means that the main bridge project is basically completed.

The finishing work may seem inconspicuous, but it's all "fine work". For example, when removing the construction parts on the bridge, the lifting points and platform fixed welding points must be cut off first, then polished, and then repainted, instead of what most people think of "demolition." There are also the installation of drainage pipes, guardrails, and lighting projects, which directly affect the appearance of the bridge, and are related to people's direct evaluation of the quality of the bridge. They should not be sloppy. In the future, the Han River Bay Bridge will have a beautiful figure in the night and show the charm of the light show, and it will have to rely on these finishing work.

When building a bridge, don't think that after closing the bridge, the prototype of the bridge will be "relaxed" at first, and the finishing works are still huge. To ensure that the conditions for opening to traffic in April means that there is only more than one month left for the builders! In order to maintain goals and keep up with progress, the builders of the Hanjiang Bay Bridge of the China Railway Bridge Bureau did not stop construction during the Spring Festival of the Year of the Ox. At present, they are working hard, working in round-the-clock shifts, and rushing for the construction schedule. The builders of the Han River Bay Bridge continued to fight.

Another great point is that because of the large amount of tasks, all finishing construction projects must be started at the same time, which greatly tests the wisdom of the builders. Because some of these projects have to be dismantled and some have to be installed, different tasks are connected or even crossed, so overall consideration is needed to smoothly advance the project.

Located between Zhiyin Bridge and Gutian Bridge, Han River Bay Bridge is the seventh road bridge on the Han River. It is connected to Gutian 4th Road in the north, after passing the Hanjiang River, and to Hanyang Yulong Road in the south. After the opening to traffic, residents of Qiaokou District and Hanyang District at both ends of the bridge will no longer bypass other bridges, and the transit time will be greatly shortened, which will greatly reduce the traffic pressure on the Second Ring Road across the Han River.

The standard deck of the main bridge of the Han River Bay Bridge has a total width of 47 meters. It is designed as a two-way six-lane, and the conditions are reserved for long-term expansion to eight-lane two-way. Sidewalks and non-motorized vehicle lanes are also designed on both sides of the bridge, which will surely become a good place for citizens to check in. Editor/Wang Jiangwen
