The new Sichuan-Tibet Railway from Ya’an to Linzhi is located in Sichuan Province and the Tibet Autonomous Region; the line starts from Ya’an City in the east, passes through Tianquan, Luding, Kangding, Yajiang, and Batang to the west, and then crosses the Jinsha River into the Tibet Autonomous Region. Gongjue, Qamdo, Bomi to Nyingchi, connecting with Nyingchi Station of the Lhasa-Nyingchi section of the Sichuan-Tibet Railway under construction; the total investment of the project is 319.8 billion yuan, and the tender section is divided into six tender sections, CZSCZQ-4, CZSCZQ-5, CZSCZQ- 6, CZXZZQ-3, CZXZZQ-4, CZXZZQ-5.

The Sichuan-Tibet Railway has been planned for one hundred years, and the survey process lasted 70 years. The entire line has an operating length of 1,567 kilometers. It starts from Chengdu in Sichuan Province in the east and passes through Ya'an, Kangding, Qamdo, Nyingchi, and Shannan in the west, and finally Lhasa, the capital of the Tibet Autonomous Region. The Chengdu-Ya'an section of the Sichuan-Tibet Railway was put into operation in December 2018, and the entire line of the Lhasa-Nyingchi section has a contact network. It is planned to be completed and opened to traffic on June 30, 2021. The start date of the project in front of the Ya'an to Linzhi section of the tender is set on April 1, 2021. The planned construction period is 3,501 calendar days, and the completion date is October 31, 2030.
