As a key project of Chengdu Open-air Music Park, the indoor concert hall of Chengdu Open-air Music Park, the planned construction area is about 13,900 square meters, the total construction area is 9,000 square meters, the building height is about 30.2 meters, and the total investment is about 176,661,100 yuan. The overall shape of the building presents a layered curve shape, resembling a conch.

The indoor concert hall is composed of a steel frame + steel grid single building, the underground is a partial semi-basement, and there are 6 floors above the ground. The roof is a steel grid sloping roof, and the internal structure is complex. The steel structure building requires manual and hoisting equipment to connect many materials through a series of welds, and finally close them into shape.

In order to ensure the construction progress, the project party chose SCC3200A-1 crawler crane as the main crane of the project. Operator Li Yang said: "The work site is relatively narrow and has a large span. The steel structure has multiple installation points to be installed and welded at the same time, which is very difficult."

"This time we use a 38-meter main boom + a 42-meter tower boom. The maximum lifting weight is 43 tons, and the farthest operating radius is 39 meters. This SANY 320-ton crawler crane is fully capable of handling it. They are all operated SANY crane equipment, and they are also handy and very convenient to operate."

At present, the main building has been completed and is gradually entering the dome steel structure installation stage. It is expected that the exterior curtain wall construction of the concert hall will be completed in May 2021. As the construction node of the project is approaching, the operation equipment in the site is still increasing. In addition to SCC3200A-1, SCC550TB crawler cranes and SAC4500T all-terrain cranes are also on the scene.

Chengdu Open-air Music Park covers an area of about 395,000 square meters, equivalent to the size of 55 football fields, and can accommodate 47,000 people.

In accordance with the Chengdu Universiade’s requirements of “optimizing creative design, focusing on highlighting the participation of college students and showing youthful demeanor”, the closing ceremony director team will take the form of a world youth carnival and focus on the preferences of college students and young people in the new era.
