To defeat the new crown epidemic, unity and cooperation is the most powerful weapon. The Communist Party of Vietnam and the Government of Vietnam and the Communist Party of China and the Chinese government have actively taken a series of measures to effectively prevent and control the epidemic, resume work and production as soon as possible, and promote economic recovery, making Vietnam and China one of the few in the world that can maintain Economy.

Political connection

In terms of political relations, Vietnam and China have launched a number of practical activities in 2020 to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and China. During the year, the two sides maintained frequent communication with senior leaders. Nguyen Phu Trong, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, and Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, and President Xi Jinping, reached important consensus on promoting the deepening and pragmatic development of bilateral relations. Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc spoke with Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and agreed to strengthen cooperation in epidemic prevention and control. The exchanges between various ministries and localities of the two countries have been further strengthened, and cooperation in epidemic prevention and control between the two countries has been carried out effectively.

2021 will be a significant year for Vietnam and China. Vietnam held the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, passed the resolutions of the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, and put forward Vietnam's economic and social development plan for the next five years and the 2030 vision. This year, China will usher in the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, and it will also be the beginning of the implementation of the 14th Five-Year Plan.

Economic and Trade Cooperation

Towards 2021, in order to further implement the consensus reached by the top leaders of the two parties and two countries, the two countries will focus on the following main tasks:

The first is to continue to strengthen political mutual trust, maintain frequent high-level exchanges, and promote the early realization of mutual visits between the leaders of the two parties and the two countries when conditions permit for epidemic prevention and control.

The second is to deepen pragmatic cooperation and continue to develop bilateral economic and trade cooperation in a stable and healthy direction. We welcome China to further expand its imports of Vietnamese agricultural and aquatic products that meet the needs of the Chinese market, and also welcome Chinese companies to increase investment in Vietnam in infrastructure, high-tech, and environmentally friendly industries.

The third is to strengthen cultural exchanges and consolidate the social foundation of good-neighborly friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and China. It is expected that the media of the two countries will play an important role in guiding public opinion, building consensus, and further consolidating and developing Vietnam-China traditional friendship.
