Recently, the construction of the Ruba Sea Bridge project in the D2B section of Coastal Avenue in Sarawak, Malaysia, contracted by China Railway Bridge Bureau, broke ground. Over 2,000 representatives of officials, project managers, and people from Sarawak State attended the groundbreaking ceremony.
Roland, Director of the Coastal Avenue and Second Trunk Road Project Management Department of the Sarawak Ministry of Public Works, introduced the project overview and current construction progress, and gave a detailed introduction to China Railway Bridge Bureau's company profile, development history and performance. Later, the Chief Minister of Sarawak, Datuk Seri Badinggi Abang Johari, delivered an opening speech, expressing his deep blessings on the construction of the project, and eagerly looking forward to the bridge becoming a happy bridge for the people of Sarawak after the completion of the project as scheduled, and helping Sarawak The state will achieve the level of development target by 2030.
Ruba Sea Bridge Project
It is reported that the project is one of the key projects of the entire coastal road project. It is the largest single bridge project under construction in Malaysia. The total length of the bridge is 4844 meters. It consists of a south approach bridge of 1197.6 meters + a main channel bridge of 598.8 meters + a north approach bridge of 3047.6 meters. The approach bridge is a 50-meter-span continuous beam bridge with a bridge deck of 16.3 meters wide. The prefabricated segment glue construction technology is adopted.
As a local landmark project, the bridge has attracted wide attention from people from all walks of life. After the project is completed, it will become the longest bridge in East Malaysia, connecting with the existing Pan Borneo Highway, improving the development level of regional transportation infrastructure, facilitating the exchange of people and materials, improving the regional transportation pattern, and promoting regional integration and economic development.
