The project budget for key highways in the Philippines has been announced. More than $250.4 million will be used for Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX), Manila-Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX) Section 4 expansion and C-5 Southlink Expressway.

The budget is determined by MPT South. The CALAX project is scheduled to be completed before the end of 2022. It is the most costly project among the three, accounting for about half of the total budget.

Metro Manila is a large area covering fifteen cities around Manila, including Quezon, the largest city in the Philippines, Makati, the financial center, and Pasay, where the Mall of Asia is located. The impression is traffic jam.

The new highway project aims to improve traffic flow and reduce the travel time of drivers in the area. Existing road traffic is severely congested, which is a long-term problem in Manila itself and surrounding areas. Editor/Sang Xiaomei
