The total investment of the project cluster is 60.3 billion yuan and consists of 11 key projects.

The Nangang ethylene project is the leader, aiming at the goal of leading the world, filling the domestic gap, and replacing imports. It will extend the industrial chain and build 12 sets of high-end new material devices such as ultra-high molecular weight. It has high-end product solutions, huge market potential, and complementary resource advantages. The five distinctive features of strong scientific and technological support, green and low-carbon leadership, are committed to creating high-quality, differentiated, and low-cost competitive advantages.

It is understood that Nangang Ethylene is expected to be completed in 2023, and the project cluster is expected to be completed in 2025. By then, Tianjin Petrochemical will enter the ranks of tens of billions of profitable enterprises, and at the same time strongly promote the high-quality development of Tianjin's petrochemical industry.

Ma Yongsheng said that the construction of the Nangang project has a very important milestone. At present, Sinopec is actively constructing a "one base, two wings and three new" industrial structure, and Tianjin is a key development area.
