Recently, Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan launched the 1,320 MW China hub power plant, which is one of the major projects of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. He said at a ceremony that the CPEC joint project is a positive signal for us. I suggest that more coal will be used for the power plant from Tal, which provides employment for 6,000 Pakistani workers.

He further stated that coal in the Taal region is producing electricity. The Prime Minister also said that Pakistan’s biggest problem was corruption, which prevented investors from funding any project in the country, which was deprived of billions of dollars because of corruption.

The $60 billion CPEC is a key project of the Beijing One Belt One Road initiative, which aims to connect Asia, Africa and Europe through a vast network of highways, railway lines and sea lanes. The multi-billion dollar corridor connects the city of Kashgar in China to Gwadar Port in the Arabian Sea of Pakistan. Editor / Li Dan
