On the morning of June 1, 2021, the expansion and reconstruction project of Zhuhai Jinwan Airport undertaken by the Installation Company of China Construction Second Bureau commenced the first hoisting of the roof purlin components, which marked the official entry of the project into the construction phase of the metal roofing project.
The expansion project of Guangdong Zhuhai Jinwan Airport is located in Jinwan District, Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province, China. It is one of the five airports in the Pearl River Delta region. The designed annual passenger throughput is 15 million, and the peak-hour passenger throughput is 5,527. The T2 terminal has four floors above ground and two floors underground, with a total construction area of approximately 191,000 square meters and a metal roof construction area of over 65,000 square meters.
In order to adapt to the local high typhoon climate in Zhuhai, the design life of the metal roof structure is 50 years, and the design life of the roof system is 25 years. The design of the project is based on the 100-year return period for the metal roof structure design, and the basic wind pressure is 1.1kN/㎡ .
It is understood that after the completion of the project, it will mainly serve the surrounding areas of the Pearl River, develop in coordination with surrounding cities, and integrate with the international community, making a great contribution to the deepening development of Guangdong's aviation and shipping industry.
