Recently, COSCO SHIPPING Engineering Logistics successfully won the bid for MODEC Offshore Production Systems (Singapore) Pte. Ltd., (MODEC) FPSO series module Brazil transportation project. This is the third time that the offshore engineering business line has undertaken the Brazilian module intercontinental transportation task in the past five years after winning the bids for the MODEC MV30 and MV32 projects. There are 4 series of modules that have won the bid this time. The size of each module is about 33X28X32 meters, and the weight of a single unit is close to 3,000 tons. It is planned to be shipped from Brazil to Dalian in early August. The entire voyage will take more than 60 days.
High-quality development of offshore engineering business
Since winning the bid for the MODEC large-scale FPSO series module marine transportation project in July 2019, the offshore engineering business line has adhered to the strategic leadership of the logistics headquarters, continuously optimized customer services, strengthened intensive collaboration and internal resource integration, and actively carried out collaborative effect creation. Especially after 2020, under the dual pressure of the outbreak of the new crown pneumonia and the fluctuation of the shipping market, COSCO SHIPPING’s engineering logistics and offshore engineering business line strictly follows the company’s epidemic prevention and control and production and operation requirements, benchmarking advanced models in the industry, and strengthening the construction of professional talents. , In-depth study of product-based plan customization, and in-depth interconnection and interaction with overseas customers, and take multiple measures to do a good job of cross-border logistics services under the normalization of epidemic prevention and control.
The team successfully completed MODEC MV30 FPSO series module transportation project, MV32 FPSO series module transportation project, Dalian COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry Brazil National Petroleum Compressor Module Transportation Project, Nantong COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry Port Crane Transportation Project, Dalian COSCO Shipping Kawasaki COSCO Shipbuilding Project And South Korea's Samsung Heavy Industries Ningbo Steel Sea Chartering has accumulated more than 60 voyages and 800,000 billed tons of transportation tasks. Among them, in April 2021, the offshore engineering business line successfully completed the maiden voyage of the 7 voyages of the MODEC FPSO Almirante Barroso MV32 project, with each module weighing 2200 tons.
The bid for the FPSO series module Brazil transportation project is another self-examination of the offshore engineering business line to implement the "four grasps and one breakthrough" work requirements, quickly grab market share, constantly break through the project bottleneck, and achieve self-transformation and upgrade. The cooperative relationship has laid a solid foundation for the mutual high-quality development of both parties. Editor/Tian Zengpeng
