On October 29, 2019, the Jinhua-Ningbo Railway started construction. The Jinhua-Ningbo Railway is a convenient passage from the Ningbo-Zhejiang Mid-Western hinterland to the Jin (Hua) Yi (U) metropolitan area. The scope of the project is from the Yiwu Station of the Shanghai-Kunming Railway to the Yunlong Station of the Yongtaiwen Railway, including the Jinhua area and the Ningbo hub supporting project. . The downline is from Yunlong Station to Yiwu Station (excluding). The length of the new line is 188.3 kilometers. The upward line is from Yunlong Station to the Hejing Line of Shanghai-Kunming Railway. The length of the new line is 185.6 kilometers. A total of 9 stations along the route include Yunlong, Fenghua, Xikou, Xinchang, Zhangzhou, Nanshan Lake, Hulu, Dongyang and Suxi. Among them, Fenghua and Yunlong are the existing stations, Suxi is the new station, and the rest is the new station for passenger and freight transportation.

Jinhua to Ningbo Railway

The main technical standard of Jinhua-Ningbo railway line is Class I passenger and cargo and double-track railway. The design speed is 160 km/h, and the condition of 200 km/h is reserved. The building boundary meets the conditions of the double-deck container train. The construction period is planned to be 4 years. The preliminary construction started in Fenghua in February 2017.

The Jinhua-Ningbo Railway was jointly funded by the National Railway Group Co., Ltd. and the Zhejiang Provincial People's Government. The total investment estimate is about 29 billion yuan. As a project legal person, Xiaoyu Railway Company is responsible for the financing, construction and operation management of the project. After the project is completed, it entrusts China Railway Shanghai Bureau Group Co., Ltd. to be responsible for operation and management.

Jinhua-Ningbo Railway Construction is an important project to implement the national strategy of integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta and improve the layout of the regional railway network. The line will connect Yiwu and Ningbo, and realize the interconnection between Yiwu, the world's small commodity capital, and Zhoushan Port, the world's largest port, Ningbo.
