The Dominican Republic is planning a new Anbar road project. The 33-kilometer-long highway is expected to cost 393 million U.S. dollars to build. The project will be processed in PPP mode. Many companies have already expressed interest in building this highway.

The highway will have two lanes in either direction, with a maximum speed of 100 km/h, connecting Puerto Plata and Santiago, and the journey time will be 30 minutes. The project will include the construction of tunnel sections, overpasses and bridges, as well as the installation of drainage systems, toll technology and lighting.
