Dongfang Electric Group has developed into the world's largest supplier of complete power generation equipment and general contractor for power station projects. On June 19 and 21, Dongfang Electric and Dongfang Steam Turbine, subsidiaries of Dongfang Electric Group, received notices and successfully won the bid for the purchase of equipment for the 2×1000MW new construction steam turbine generator set of the National Energy Group Hunan Yueyang Power Plant.

The project is a 1000MW high-efficiency ultra-super wet-cooling unit equipped with a dual-machine regenerative system. It adopts Dongfang Electric’s new fourth-generation high-efficiency flow technology with complete intellectual property rights, as well as digital technologies such as intelligent patrol operation, full-process intelligent control, and intelligent operation. Improve the economy and flexibility of unit operation.

National Energy Group Hunan Yueyang Power Plant Project plans to build 4 1000MW ultra-supercritical coal-fired generating units. The first phase of construction is a 2×1000MW unit, which is expected to be completed and put into operation in 2023.
