According to Jiandao.com, the project is the tallest 80-story tower in Africa, covering an area of 65,000 square meters. The report also said that the plan was jointly implemented by the Egyptian Ministry of Housing (with the New Urban Community Administration) and the China Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC), and it was estimated to cost nearly US$3 billion. The construction contract for the tower was awarded by China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC). The contractor will operate under the design and supervision of Dar Handassa. The report also quoted an official from Dar Handasar as saying that the work was carried out in three phases.
Project manager Ahmed Al Banna said: "The construction took 800 working days, and the pandemic did not stop construction. From the third floor to the 30th floor, the second phase takes about 100 working days. In the third stage, it takes about 6 working days on the first floor. There are 190 engineers, technicians and workers in the group," he explained.
Housing Minister Assem Al Gazzar praised this achievement, saying: "This is a historic day in the history of modern Egypt, and it is also a document that Egypt is witnessing growth." The iconic tower project will become an Egyptian city. A turning point in the history of chemistry," he said at an event to celebrate this milestone. "Next week, we will launch another new project with several new towers in Alamin," he added. Editor/XuNing
