Cable production for this project is expected to begin in 2023.

"As can be seen recently in Texas and California, the United States must invest in its transmission infrastructure, and SOO Green’s underground rail co-location model is a model that can be replicated across the country to build a clean energy grid. A game changer," Direct Connect CEO Treward said, "Our partnership with Prysmian provides us with first-class cables to build highly reliable and climate-resilient power transmission lines for American families and Companies will provide affordable renewable energy in the next few decades and bring manufacturing back to the United States.” With the integration of American cable manufacturers, Prysmian Group’s sales exceed 10 billion euros, and cables will be sold in Prysmian.
