On the afternoon of June 21, 2021, the Overseas Business Department of POWERCHINA International Corporation signed the EPC contract for the 350MW offshore wind power project in Ca Mau, Vietnam in the form of video. Ji Xiaoyong, general manager of the company's overseas business department, secretary of the party committee and chairman of Power Construction International, and the project owner, Wu Risheng, chairman of the Vietnam WTO, signed the contract.
At the signing ceremony, Wu Risheng introduced the history and performance of the WTO company, and emphasized his gratitude to PowerChina for its strong support to WTO in previous projects, and highly affirmed the performance and execution capabilities of PowerChina’s projects. It is hoped that PowerChina will continue to exert its advantages in this project and future cooperation and demonstrate a world-class level.
Ji Xiaoyong expressed his gratitude to the WTO for its trust in China Power Construction, and emphasized China Power Construction’s ability to perform the contract and the spirit of the contract, and said that he will complete the contract provisions on time and with high quality. It is believed that the project will overcome all difficulties and achieve a complete success under the strong overall management of China Power Construction and the joint efforts of the first-class executive team.

WTO is the owner of Vietnam's Hongfeng 350MW photovoltaic project. The Hongfeng project was undertaken by China Power Construction. It was successfully connected to the grid on June 30, 2019, and generated more than 160,000 US dollars in power generation revenue for the owner every day. The Ca Mau 350MW offshore wind power project signed this time is located in Ca Mau Province, the southernmost tip of Vietnam. It is another large-scale offshore wind power project signed by PowerChina after the 171MW offshore wind power project in Sochuang Bac Lieu and the 310MW offshore wind power project in Pingda. The largest offshore wind power project in Southeast Asia to date. The project is 190MW in the AB area, planned to be connected to the grid on October 15, 2022, and 185MW in the CD area, planned to be connected to the grid on June 30, 2023.
