Recently, the large water supply project in Abuja, Nigeria, financed by the Export-Import Bank, officially started construction. As an important part of the water network planning of Abuja, the capital of Nigeria, the construction of the project will effectively improve regional water supply conditions.

The project plans to build a 422 km water supply network in Abuja, with a total water supply capacity of 480,000 cubic meters per day, which can cover the daily water needs of nearly 1.5 million people. After the project is completed, the water supply network in the capital area of Nigeria will be improved, the current situation of local water problems will be alleviated, and the drinking water health of residents will be improved, which will have good social benefits.

For a long time, the Export-Import Bank has supported a number of projects with good social benefits in Nigeria's energy, communications, aviation, roads, railways, water conservancy and other fields, and has effectively improved the local infrastructure.
